The Simpsons Game
(8.75/10.00) I have been a big fan of the series of Simpson games in the past, but this game really showed me what could be done with the franchise. And despite a few flaws, this game succeeds. The story is relatively simple, with the gang basically realizing that they themselves are in a video game. However, they take it different ways. Marge wants to change the world, Bart wants to use his superpowers to fight crime, and well Homer, he just wants to eat. You run an early few of the just-right 16 episodes trying out the different powers of each character, and then the plot thickens with Treehouse of Horror-related episodes, and then they move on to try to save their game from extinction when the “Xbox 720″ comes out. Each character has his or her own ability, with Homer’s super ball attack and gummi ball, Lisa’s Hand of Buddha and it’s assorted attacks, Bartman’s Skills, and the occassional Maggie level, the game is well balanced. The game is also hillarious, with the all of the cast reprising their voice roles. You can just walk around SPringfield and hear random quotes or funny sayings as you walk by. There are several hillarious moments, and several references to the series sometimes only veterans will get-Linguo. I really liked this game, although it did sometimes have some flaws. The camera is one of the biggest, several times getting in my way of completing the mission. Also, sometimes the mission objective could have been a little clearer, and you’re a little curious as to what to do. The language in this game can also be a little coarse, too coarse for younger gamers. However, if you like the series and you want a great game to keep you busy, this is the game for you.
Scrubs Quotes 1
One of my favorite TV shows is Scrubs, which is unfortunately going off the air soon after several seasons. One of the reasons I enjoy it so much is thanks to the hillarious dialogue, as you can see in the next few quotes.
Ted: Finally, doctors, if there is a mistake, don’t admit it to the patient. Of course, if the patient is deceased – and you’re sure – you can feel free to tell him or her… anything.
- Elliot: I know what you’re thinking–
- J.D.: [thinking] Your butt looks like two Pringles hugging. [speaking] No you don’t.
- J.D.: I’m, uh, I’m waiting for someone.
- Janitor: Door’s broke. Fifth time or so it won’t open.
- J.D.: Maybe there’s a penny stuck in there.
- Janitor: Why a penny?
- J.D.: I don’t know…
- Janitor: D’you stick a penny in there?
- J.D.: No, no, I was just making small talk.
- Janitor: If I find a penny in there… I’m takin’ you down.
- Dr. Cox: Geez, J.D., would you be a man? Lookit, if you can’t stick to your convictions, you’ll never make it as a doctor.
- [J.D. shuts his eyes and screams; his head explodes]
- Dr. Cox: I can’t believe your head exploded. If your head explodes, you’ll never make it as a doctor. [fade to black] I mean, come on, you look ridiculous.
Dr. Cox: What in the name of Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret were you thinking?
My Favorite Movies of 2007

Back on my old site, I had over 400 posts, so it’s a little weird leaving that behind. So, I thought I would let you know some of my favorite movies of 2007, with my review included. You also have to understand, I am a lot more critical in reviewing a game than I am a movie. I have only given a 10 out of 10 to 2 games, but I give a lot of A+ to movies, because, you know, if I really liked a movie, that’s what I’ll give it. I’ll take a lot more things into perception with games.
National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets-(Grade: A+) After months of anticipation, I was able to go see National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets, and it was worth the wait. The story follows Benjamin Gates, once again played flawlessly be Nicolas Cage one day while he is teaching a class on his great-grandfather’s role in the prevention of the finding of a treasure which could have caused the Rebels to win the Civil War. Right after the lecture, a man stands up and claims that Ben’s Great Granfather Thomas was one of the conspirators. He then had to go on a mission to clear Thomas’ name and in doing so, discover the lost Cebola Treasure. The movie brings back all of the old characters and the people who played them, from Riley who is publishing his new book and having some financial troubles, to Jon Voight who plays Ben’s father. They also brought in Helen Mirren, who plays Ben’s Mother. The bickering between her and Ben’s father is hillarious. The treasure hunt this time takes them across the world, from France’s Statue of Liberty to Mount Rushmore. The story this time was equal to, if not better than the first, due to the fact Lincoln was one of my favorite presidents. This movie lives up to the hype, delivers a great and interesting plot for fans of the series, and any fan should check out this movie.
Evan Almighty- (Grade: A-) This one was definitely better than the first. It tells the story of Evan Baxter in his new job of Congressman trying to follow God’s instructions of building an ark. Steve Carell does a pretty good job, not including a few moments. Morgan Freeman once again does a great job of playing God. The whole movie flows along smoothly, but there was only one problem I had with it. It didn’t quite follow the Bible all the way through. There were two doors of Evan’s Ark, and they closed it. They let other people on the ark, and rain didn’t cause the flood. One thing I loved about it however, was it’s family-friendiness, something not found in Bruce Almighty. Overall, this is a really fun movie for the summer.
Pirates of the Carribean:At World’s End-(Grade:A) This is by-far the best in the series. This one delivered the blend of comedy, action, and romance that I hav always wanted it to. This time the crew start out going off to Davy Jones’ Locker, which turns out to be just a huge desert, in order to rescue Captain Jack so they can finally take down the East India Trading Company. Soon there is a meeting of the 9 Pirate Lords, a meeting with Jack’s dad, and a mind-blowing battle. This is why I watch the series! I am extremely looking forward to the next one! Yes Silv, there will be a new one, that is not just a “good ending”. Keira Knightly could have been fibbing in order to keep the secret! It’s obvious they’ll make the next one-Fountain of Youth!
I would also like to mention a few other movies, including Ocean’s Thirteen, Spiderman 3, Wild Hogs, Blades of Glory, and more. I pretty much liked every movie I watched in theaters this year.
