Monk-Mr. Monk Joins A Cult

Monk finally came back, with a great episode entitled Mr. Monk Joins A Cult. A girl has been murdered, and according to the man that found her and tryed to take her to the hospital, she was stabbed and killed be the Siblings of the Sun, a cult led by the Father (Howie Mandel). Natalie decides to go undercover, but they decide they’d rather have Monk. He goes in, not suspecting to fall under the spell, but when the guru convinces Monk to let go of his fears, Monk gives in, becoming a full-fledged member. He mentors others, and even gets to meet with the immortal father in his quarters. Soon when Monk is trying to take out his life savings for the group, he is kidnapped by the Captain, where they try to convinve him to return to normal. After Dr. Kroger reminds him of Trudy, Monk returns to normal, but not after solving the case. Here’s what happened: The man who had found the girl didn’t find her, but had hired her. She was a prostitute, and he was married. They were driving his company car, and ran a red light, where his picture was taken with her. He realizes his trouble, and remembers what she said about being in a cult. He took her to the park, killed her, and made it look like the Cult did it. He reran the same stoplight, and made it look like he was taking her to the hospital.

WiiFit Preview

The latest in Wii-specific games, WiiFit, is getting more and more exciting by the minute, and it has already been released in Japan, and is selling extremely well. Just in case you’re not too familiar with this experience, here’s a closer look. The game uses a pad for gameplay, that you stand on. From there there are several motion sensing capabilities in how you lean, jump, or dance on. The game will include over 40 minigames inside, including Yoga, Pushups, Step Aerobics, Soccer, hula-hooping, ski jumping, ball rolling, Jogging, tightrope walking, and more. The game is definitely a fitter version of Wii Sports, from the use of your Miis to the interactivity. The Wii Balance Board you stand on measures your weight and center of gravity, and when you tell it your height, your BMI.  There might even be a way in the future to contact your doctor with this thing. It is definitely the fun thing to do if you want to lose weight, or just have fun. You can upload your Miis into the game and track your progress, which is sure to bring some people for daily replays. This sold outstandingly well in Japan, and I’m 100% sure it will also sell well here. If someone sees someone trying out this thing and dancing around, having fun, and it being good for them, the formula for Wii Sports’ Success will be replicated and this thing will fly off store shelves.  It has even gotten great reviews! The set will retail with the game and board for about $80, and will hit our shores May 20 of this year.
