Top Ten Things You Shouldn’t Serve at the Prom

April 18, 2008 at 3:36 pm (Movies, Top Ten)

As you may know from James’ site, I will be serving for my school’s prom tonight, and I continuously think about Micheal Caine, being Alfred on Batman. Anyway, I thought I would do a post to correspond with these duties (laughs) and tell you the top ten things you probably shouldn’t serve at the Prom.

  1. Sarcastic Remarks when someone rudely asks for something when you’re serving something. The Nazi Salute is especially inappropriate (but funny).
  2. Advice. Noone cares if you think that they should have came to the Prom with someone else.
  3. Any Micheal Caine reference.
  4. Saliva
  5. Free Copies of The Trojan Informer to people who didn’t buy them earlier.
  6. Little Cards with my site’s URL on it, wait, that it a good idea.
  7. Little Cards with James’ site’s URL on it, that’s a horrible idea.
  8. A Free Musical Tribute
  9. A Free Bootleg copy of the movie Prom Night, funny in concept, bad in practice.
  10. Little Umbrellas in the Drinks. It’s not always that festive.

  3. Peanut Butter
  4. Another Pancake
  5. The Morning Newspaper
  6. Plate
  7. Fork
  8. Orange Juice or Apple Juice
  9. A Good Monk Episode (Might I recommend Mr. Monk Makes A Friend, gets a good laugh with breakfast)
  10. A Phone Call to A Friend who is Also Eating Pancakes

Top Ten Best/Worst Batman Villains for Future Batman Movies

April 14, 2008 at 6:40 pm (Movies, Television, Top Ten)

Recently I did a post about the Top Ten best and worst ideas for villains in Spiderman 4. It got a lot of attention, and today in Journalism I got bored on Mr. Harris’ laptop so I looked up Batman on Wikipedia. Here are some villains that may or may not be good ideas for the film series.

Top 5 Best-

  1. Talia Al Ghul-Ras Al Ghul’s daughter, being as they incorporated Ras into Batman Begins, it would make sense.
  2. Harley Quinn-The Joker’s apprentice, it may be hard to incorporate, but I believe she would translate well.
  3. Hugo Strange-One of the few people who know Batman’s secret identity, this madman also creates giants, and enjoys long walks on the beach…
  4. The Mad Hatter-Although it may be a little rough translating to the big screen, this madman could be transferred correctly with the right actor and be made into an interesting character.
  5. …Okay, Batman’s had a lot of movies, a lot of the good ones have already been taken.

Top 5 Worst-

  1. The Ventriloquist and Scarface-This villain(?) and his puppet are a notorious crime duo, and I just don’t really think they could be in it without the movie being a comedy.
  2. Calendar Man-Almost as bad in adaptation and Scarface, this villain only performs crimes on certain days of the year!
  3. Captain Stingaree-He’s a pirate.
  4. Mr. Freeze-This one would be disastrous if he was played by the wrong actor, say Arnold Schwarzenegger, OH WAIT!!!
  5. Film Freak-The funny thing about this guy is that he’s a film freak that impersonates other bad guys (a wimp) and gets killed by Bane, the biggest and strongest villain of them all.

Top 10 Summer Blockbusters-2008-Prequel

April 11, 2008 at 3:45 pm (Movies, Top Ten)

This picture defines this summer

It’s April, and with the Summer movie season, arguably the biggest season of movies of the year, approaching soon, kicking off in a few weeks with Iron Man, I thought I’d make a list of the Top Ten Summer Blockbusters of the upcoming season. Feel free to share your opinion. I’ll also give my estimate of how much each movie will make in the box office (US). Note-This is a listing of the best looking, not how much they’ll make. If you want to make them list that way, homework. This is my opinion of which ones look best. It’s always fun to check in on this post later to see if I was right. I might come back in to correct these if I realize I was way off, I didn’t want to go too high like last year.

  1. The Dark Knight-This is the one I’m really anticipating, it’s probably the only one I have gotta see opening “knight”. Get it, knight?-$295,000,000-The original made $240, so I’ll guess the newer fans and Ledger buzz will help a lot.
  2. Indiana Jones 4: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull-I haven’t seen any of the Jones pictures, but something tells me I’ll end up seeing it. I would like to see the others.-$320,000,000-The fans will go see it, young and old, it will even bring in new fans.
  3. Iron Man-I’m a nerd, I would like to go see it eventually, maybe opening weekend. My radar says it will be good.-$250,000,000
  4. Get Smart-I am a huge Steve Carell fan, I’ll try to go see it.-$100,000,000-I think it will do well, but not that well because comedies just usually don’t fit into the Summer trend.
  5. Hancock-This is a Will Smith movie, anything he touches turns to gold, this movie will be great, I would like to see it, my whole family’s a Will Smith fan.-$235,000,000
  6. Star Wars: The Clone Wars-I’m not as excited about this because I would rather have live action!!! I may/may not see this one, but I still think it will do well.-$300,000,000
  7. WALL E-This sure to be cash cow from Pixar will make lots and lots of money, you know it will, and it will probably be good too. It will probably make enough to pay off some people at Disney’s mortgages.-$280,000,000
  8. The Chronicles of Narnia 2: Prince Caspian-Another Disney movie, the first did really well, this one probably will too, and might even bring in more action fans. I may/may not see this one, may wait to DVD-$290,000,000
  9. Step Brothers-This Will Ferrel comedy looks really good to me, I might even see it in theaters. It possibly looks like the funniest of the summer. It will also have the golden Will Ferrel factor-$225,000,000
  10. Wanted-This movie about assassins starring the one and only Morgan Freeman will probably do well, but I can see it flying under the radar for some.-$225,000,000

  3. Replace all of the footballs with basketballs right before the state championships, or fill them with a heavy gas.
  4. Convince your friend that likes a girl that he likes him even more. (DS, don’t get any ideas)
  5. Fill someone’s locker with jello, oh wait, that is a good one…Noted.
  6. Convince Paranormalists (DS) that they found water on Mars (See above)
  7. Announce over the school’s intercom the prom, graduation, all sporting events, and going home has been cancelled.
  8. Go to a Cathedral, and when they’re sprinkling the holy water on you shout “IT BURNS, IT BURNS!!!”
  9. Convince everyone we’re being attacked by a foreign country that has no reason to attack us like Canada.
  10. Pretend like you’re actually interested in this post.
