Top Selling Games and Systems of the 2007 Holiday

The newest issue of Game Informer not only unveiled the new Resistance game, but the top selling games and systems of the 2007 Holiday. Here is that list, along with their astounding numbers.

  1. Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare (360)-1.57 Million
  2. Super Mario Galaxy-1.12 Million
  3. Assassin’s Creed (360)-980,000
  4. Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock (PS2)-967,000
  5. Wii Play w/Remote-564,000
  6. Mass Effect-473,000
  7. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3)-444,000
  8. Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock (Wii)-426,000
  9. Halo 3-387,000
  10. Assassin’s Creed (PS3)-377,000

Before I continue, I just want to point out the difference in sales between the 360 and PS3 versions of games.

  1. Nintendo DS-1.53 Million
  2. Wii-981,000
  3. 360-770,000
  4. PSP-567,000
  5. PS2-496,000
  6. PS3-466,000 Wah wah waaaaaaaaaah.

I would like to point out know that the PS2 outsold the PS3, not only did the PS2 outsell it, the PSP outsold it!!!

    It really is weird that the PS3 did so badly, but it kinda makes sense. I know a cousin who got a 360 for Cmas, and DS got a Wii. I have a WIi! You have a Wii! It rocks.
