Heroes MiniSeries Going Postal Chapter 1-A Nifty Trick/New Promos

July 15, 2008 at 8:35 pm (Television, Video)

This is the first of three parts of the new mini series online for Heroes which was actually quite satisfying, although not the best Heroes content ever, based on the mailman with an extraordinary abilities. Also Below that I’ve added some extremely tantalizing promos for the new season. (See If you can count all the characters appearing that are SUPPOSED to be dead.) I’m starting to wonder if this mailman will make his way to the show…

Nintendo E3 2008 Briefing

July 15, 2008 at 8:23 pm (Video Games)

Today was Nintendo’s big press conference where they showed off a majority of their lineup for the coming year. I was honestly expecting something HUGE, something MONUMENTAL from the big N, however we ended up with a good lineup, however it just wasn’t what I was expecting. I just got my hopes up a little too high for a new Zelda or Mario game. They came out on stage and showed off the action of Shaun White Snowboarding, which looked pretty fun, but may lose some sales for people who don’t wanna have to buy the Wii Balance Board. We got to see both Shaun and a Nintendo exec face-plant a few times, and then they spent about 20 minutes on specs. They primarily discussed how they wanted to destroy the gap between gamers and non gamers. Afterwards, they announced the expected Animal Crossing game for the Wii, along with Wii Speak, which goes on top of your Sensor Bar and acts as a microphone for online games, which finally means there can be some trash talk for Brawls. Then a whole slew of DS games were discussed, including GTA: Chinatown Wars, Spore Creatures, GH: On Tour Decades, and a few other nifty titles. They also showed a few other already announced Wii games, including a game based on The Clone Wars and Rayman Raving Rabbids 3. But the big show of the press conference was most definitely the new Wii Motion Plus, which allows nearly exact movement copying for the user. It looked amazing what they were performing with it and the sequel with which the hardware will be bundled with, Wii Sports Resort, including a few new games like Fencing, Wave Racing, etc. Wii Music also made it’s debut with the press conference, finally looking to be a good title for the Wii. It looked like a fun, responsive, and variative gaming experience. Overall it’s good, just not what I expected. If any news comes in about any possible Zelda or Mario sequels, I’ll be sure to post it.
