Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Review

It’s official. I have a new favorite first person shooter. It’s name is Call of Duty 4. The game exceeds and providing such a cinematic feel and wonderfully smooth combat that it’s hard not to like. The story basically follows this Russian/Middle East pact thing that ends up nearly blowing the world up, or something like that. You’re basically trying to stop Al Asad and his bomb wielding cohorts from not only taking over the Middle East but over Russia, and the world. The game provides this beautiful cinematic feeling of never putting you in cutscenes, and just letting you freely look around and do as you will, not only in briefings, but through the whole mission. You wanna stay back and let your men do a lot of work? Wanna go in stealthily and snipe, or do you wanna just run and gun? It’s all up to you. I found myself sniping a way at some missions, others carefully planning out my attack, trying different methods, not all worked. The missions also offer up a variety in mission objectives and environments. The graphics and sound also in this game are top notch. The voice acting is excellent, you really care about your fellow men. All the environments, the snow, grass, and water, all look amazing. Overall, if you’re looking for an amazingly deep, fun, and smooth FPS, Call of Duty 4 is definitely the right pick for you.
