Despite what I first heard of this episode, I liked it. It was actually one of the better episodes this season. At first I had lost faith in the show and even considered quitting the show, but this episode convinced me to stay in the game, because, hopefully, things are about to get better. The episode slowed things down, and gave you a more focused picture of what’s to come. Hiro and Ando were sent to go dig up Adam Monroe, and so they did. This provided for some great comedic moments, as Adam “promised to be nice”. Sylar, Bennet, and Claire went after a Level 5 escapee who created black holes for different reasons, Mohinder continues to be mysterious in one of my still least favorite storylines, and some much needed back info is given on some companies. From what I have inferred, Pinehearst is a company used to genetically create Heroes, like they did with Nathan and Tracy. They’re led by the revived patriarch, the big villain now, Arthur Petrelli, who wants to create this future with everyone having powers. Maury Parkman acts as his puppet, producing the image of Linderman into Daphne and Nathan’s heads in order to think they’re doing the right thing. At the end of the episode Maury was told to bring him Monroe, which, with Knox kidnapping him, leads you to think their group works for them. The regular company, more specifically Angela Petrelli, is trying to stop it. A new group has emerged trying to save the future including Daphne, Knox, and Hiro, who killed his best friend Ando to join. Stephen Canfield’s storyline was very interesting, and his power was something to behold. Even though his death came soon, he was a very thought provoking character, and fun to watch, along with Sylar and Bennet’s interaction over Claire. At first this twist really didn’t sound like it made sense, but thinking over how he wants to save the world, plus his briskness to do it leads you to think he’ll go back to save him. With these two companies emerging, plus the opposite sides of Peter and Sylar coming into play, the season is starting to shape up. Let’s hope the show continues to focus on this new storyline and more on development, and it can shape up to be a great season yet.

Ok, really this is just me trying out the new poll feature, do it or not, it doesn’t matter. I just thought it’d be neat.
