Return to Hyrule, In More Ways Then One

December 22, 2008 at 2:32 pm (Video Games)

If you’ve never played The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, I strongly recommend it. I’ve owned my Wii for 1 1/2 years, and that is the best game I’ve played on it. The sheer emphasis on combat, exploration, landscape, and a brilliant & exuberant story alone, among other things, make it a game any and every one should play. I bought the game a week or two after I bought my Wii, and beat it about 2 months, or 45 hours of gameplay later. Let’s just say it’s not an easy game. In the 2007 summer, I lent it to a friend of mine, and let’s just say I just now got it back. I haven’t realized how much I’ve missed this game. I wanna re-play through the entire story, just to experience all of the epic bosses, all of the amazing puzzles, all over again. Just in case you didn’t know, this game is great, and you need to play it. You need to play it, you need to play it. Play this game. Within the next few weeks and months I will definitely be paying a few more trips to Hyrule.

Also, I figured this was a neat little coincide-ment, according to Gamespot, some analysts predict the next Zelda game to be announced soon, with the release of the game coming possibly in late 2009 or 2010. Sure, that’s still a long way off, but it’s enough to get my hopes up after being disappointed by the Nintendo E3 Press Conference, James, Colt, and Steven can back me up here and remember it vividly-

  • Jake-Hey guys… you wanna come over tomorrow and see what big announcement Nintendo’s gonna have for E3?
  • James-Sure man, just let me finish watching this podcast of live feed from Microsoft’s Event… Wow… AVATARS!!!

(Next day at E3 Nintendo Event)

  • Jake-Don’t worry guys, they’re probably about to announce something BIG!!! I can feel it! There’s still 30 minutes left in the broadcast… They’re gonna save the big stuff for the end!
  • James-Wait… Why are they spending so much time playing these “instruments”?
  • Colt-I don’t think she really can ski or snowboard…
  • Jake-Ehhh…..

I’m not a Nintendo fanboy, so I could care less.

1st of all, I would like to point out…I did not say “Wow….Avatars!!!” I said “Wow! Avitars are a rip-off of Miis!”

2ndly, I had almost completely suppressed those memories. Thank you for making me relive old tramas.

Oh, BTW, all of the Zelda Games are awesome…except for four swords adventure for the gamecube…(I feel cheated.)

Ocriana of time was epic…it is very similar to twilight princess…I can’t wait to play twilight princess sometime.

I loved Twilight Princess, and have started my second play through. BTW, I was just paraphrasing on the quotes, but I know what you mean.

  5. The James said,

yeah, all zelda games are epic

(save for maybey four swords for the gamecube…but it was meant to play with 4 people and a GBA linkup…and I have neither…so it acually may be epic if played properly)
