Although I’m usually not a huge fan of late night talk shows, I can’t resist the off-beat humor and “in your face” attitude of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Airing weeknights on CBS from 11:35 to 12:35, I highly recommend you give the show a look. Craig is often defying the standards of the regular late night talk show, incorporating puppets, improv music videos, awkward silences, harmonica playing, and even a robot sidekick into his show. Below is one of the samples of my new favorite part of the show, where Craig welcomes a special guest.
(Warning-Some offensive language, including a few uses of the n-word. They’re not using in the offensive way though, Mel Brooks was making a statement when he made the film.)
From Jon Favreau (Director of Iron Man, Elf) is an adaptation of the comic series “Cowboys vs. Aliens”, starring Daniel Craig (James Bond) as a mysterious stranger into a western town. He’s harboring a unique alien weapon on his arm that makes him an instant fugitive in the town, and is being chased down by one of the local marshalls (Harrison Ford). Soon they have to team up to take down the mysterious alien force.
This may be a series I try to start doing, we’ll just see how it goes. I haven’t posted that many videos on the site recently, so here are three videos that I’ve watched nearly 100 times each, hope you enjoy.
First up is the new trailer for the Zack Snyder film, Sucker Punch, giving us a better idea of the story and some of the jaw-dropping visuals.
Second to commemorate James starting to get into Parks and Recreation is a couple of great clip from the show, showcasing some of Tom’s… worse decisions and the greatness of Ron Swanson.
Finally is a threesome of videos, all from the finale of Scrubs. I don’t think I ever posted the finale on here, and before you ask it’s technically not a spoiler for the show since nothing really happens, it’s just foreshadowing. It’s a very fitting retrospect of a finale, and it brings tears to my eyes every time, and not just because they did a 9th season.
I posted this on my Facebook the other day, and I still can’t stop laughing at it. As we all know last week was Halloween, and Shaquille O Neal took it upon himself to go all out to dress in drag for his costume this year, lip-singing to the popular Beyonce song, “Sweet Dream”. This makes Space Jam so much cooler…
This is an incredible fan-made film chronicling a short adventure of Captain Han Solo, probably taking place before Episode 4. It’s really great to see an old school Star Wars adventure like this that’s actually made really well, and even though the animation style is a little odd, it’s definitely worth a look.
Zach Galifiankis stands as one of my favorite comedians, his stand up is hysterical and one of a kind, and he’s finally breaking out into a lot of huge film roles. One of the funniest bits he does now is the series of online videos for Funny or Die, “Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis”. Each brief 5 minute episode is basically an awkward interview with a current film star where Zach gets to be awkward… between ferns. Definitely check it out.
Steve Carell (Probably My Favorite)
Sean Penn (With Zach’s “Twin” Brother)
One of my favorite games from the past decade was Bioshock, an adventurous game that proved to be one of the biggest storytelling games of our time. If you haven’t played it yet, play it or I’ll hit you with a shovel, it’s that good. After the sequel earlier this year, 2K Games has announced the sequel to the game, Bioshock: Infinite. The game takes place about 12 years before the original Bioshock in 1912. Not taking place in Rapture, the game follows a detective as he seeks to rescue a mysterious girl with mysterious powers in “Columbia”, the city in the sky. However, it’s going to be a little harder to do considering the natives, who look vaguely like Big Daddies, are going to try their best to hold onto her. The trailer looks ah-mazing, and is easily one of my most anticipated game in the next few years. Watch the trailer, dribble a little, but don’t get too excited b/c the game isn’t set for release until 2012.
This is a brand spanking new trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, showcasing some of the awesome effects in the film and giving us a better idea of the humor and action in what is hopefully going to be a very very remarkable film.
There really is no better way to describe it. Just bask in the wonder…

Behind Inception, this is probably my most anticipated film of the Summer. I take one look at the trailer and I almost immediately know I’ll love the film. Check it out if you haven’t already. The film’s being directed by Edgar Wright who also crafted two of my other favorite films “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz”. Here’s hoping he can bring that wit and style along with his classic brand of humor for this superhero film.
This was one of my favorite short-lived sketch shows, hope you enjoy a few clips from the some of the show’s best bits.
This was a really cool press conference I found for Iron Man 2 on slashfilm.com, basically it’s just the whole cast together answering questions about the film, including some questions regarding the easter eggs in the film and how they’re setting up for the Avengers project. It’s kinda long, but it’s split into 4 different parts, definitely worth your time.
This one’s on DVD this week and you should definitely check it out-
