Whiplash’s Whiplash (That’s Dirty)

June 9, 2009 at 8:24 pm (Movies, Pictures)

Well, it looks as if Iron Man 2 is making considerable progress. The main baddie this time around, Mickie Rourke’s interpretation of the Iron Man villain whiplash has been unveiled to the world, and to be honest, he looks kinda cool. I mean, he doesn’t even need a costume, Mickey Rourke looks scary enough as is. He could just wear a suit and tie and I’d still see it. His costume (most definitely not fully representative or final) does look a lot like the early prototype War Machine kinda stuff, which kinda makes me worry that John Favreau’s not being vivid enough, but that’s being a little picky. This still looks cool, and I’ll still be seeing Iron Man when it releases next May. Oh and also, Liam Neeson is gonna be in the A Team movie, he’s Hannibal. YES! Pic below (of Whiplash).

Amazing TDK TF2 Illustration

December 13, 2008 at 11:17 am (Movies, Pictures, Video Games)

Wow… That’s a lot of acronyms. One of the most popular games out there is Team Fortress 2, and one of the most popular movies out there is The Dark Knight, so it’s only a matter of time before somebody combines them. Enjoy this brilliant illustration of The Dark Knight’s biggest events as told in the style of Team Fortress 2.

“Something Awful” Spotlights

November 1, 2008 at 8:29 pm (Movies, Pictures, Weapons of Mass Enjoyment)

One of my new favorite sites that I check every friday for it’s “Photoshop Phriday” segment is Somethingawful.com, a comedy site that shows the brighter and funnier side of the internet. While I usually don’t read their articles, I usually get a good laugh from their photoshopped pictures. Below are a few spotlights from some of their most recent and best work. *Note-I apologize if the images do not pull up on your computer.

Heroes: Villains Promo Art

September 6, 2008 at 7:20 pm (Pictures, Television)

Below are a few shots of the promos for the upcoming premiere of Villains for Heroes.

I love how they try to make Angela and Ando look as intimidating and cool as the others. In other Heroes news, the second graphic novel collection for season 2 will be finally released in November. Yes, I know there have been a lot of Heroes-themed posts lately, and it’s even starting to annoy me. I might start doing the countdown two items at once to alleviate. Plus, I will have a “The Way Earl Sees It” coming in soon!

Real Life Samus!

August 23, 2008 at 8:29 pm (Pictures, Video Games, Weapons of Mass Enjoyment)

Okay James, please stop drooling. I found these pics on a link to from Halolz, one of my premiere sources for hilarious video game captions. These are a few pics of a girl, who even though may only exist in Japan and in James dreams, has a lot of spare time on her hands. I have to admit though, it is cool.

Joker Concepts

August 15, 2008 at 7:39 pm (Movies, Pictures)

Below are a few pieces of concept art for the Joker found on Movietome.com. Almost all of them aren’t as colorful as Ledger’s was, and a few of them sort of remind me of some sort of deep horror slasher killer. Never the less, these pics are definitely worth a look.

Iron Man DVD Info

August 8, 2008 at 3:02 pm (DVD, Movies, Pictures)

My second favorite movie of the entire summer (the first being The Dark Knight) had to have been Iron Man. The superb performance by Robert Downey Jr. with whom I now associate the role, the beautiful special effects, and the heart pumping action made the movie perfect for anyone wanting to see a great thrill ride of a movie. Now the movie has been confirmed for DVD and Blu Ray release on September 30. I did provide some artwork earlier, however now the backart, the special edition art, along with the extras have been provided. Below is the artwork for both single and double disc versions, the backwork for them, what I assume is the sleeve for the special edition, and the extras to come with them.

Single Disc-

Ultimate Edition-

The extras will include (1 Disc Version Only containing additional scenes)-

• I Am Iron Man
– The Journey Begins
– The Suit that makes the Iron Man
– The Walk of Destruction
– Grounded In Reality
– Beneath the Armor
– It’s All in the Details
– A Good Story, Well Told
• The Invincible Iron Man
– Origins
– Friends & Foes
– The Definitive Iron Man
– Demon in a Bottle
– Extremis and Beyond
– Ultimate Iron Man
• Wired: The Visual Effects of Iron Man
• Robert Downey Jr. Screen Test
• The Actor’s Process (scene rehearsal with cast)
• The Onion “Wildly Popular Iron Man Trailer to be Adapted into Full Length Film”
• Image Galleries

I have to say, the artwork on this bad boy is awesome, some of the best I’ve seen, and the extras just go on and on. The Ultimate Edition is a definite buy for me. Expect to see this one hitting store shelves and playing so often at school from the library that you get tired of this movie on September 30.

My First Heroes

August 5, 2008 at 11:01 am (Pictures, Weapons of Mass Enjoyment)

Here are a few heroes I made with my new addiction, Marvel Hero Maker. The first is The Dark Marksman, the second being Mentalo, and the third, who looks a lot like a pimp, The Acrobatist. Click on the images below to get a bigger picture.

The Lost Images

July 21, 2008 at 4:52 pm (Movies, Pictures)

Below is a screenshot taken from the upcoming Will Ferrel film based on the television show from the 70s, Land of the Lost. Will Ferrel will play Park Ranger Rick Marshall, starring alongside Jorma Taccone, Anna Friel, and Danny R. McBride. I’m not sure whether or not the movie is slated to be a comedy or an adventure. The film is set for release July 17 of next summer.

The Force Unleashed Multiplayer!

April 15, 2008 at 5:40 am (Pictures, Video Games)

As you (James) may already know, Star Wars: THe Force Unleashed will be coming to the Wii with some exclusive motion sensing abilities, which totally make up for it not having the shiny graphics or new technology, I just wanna use motion sensing with a lightsaber. However, you may not know that the Wii Version supports multiplayer, a versus Street Fighter aspect if you will, just with lighsabers. Look out Super Smash Bros.!

New The Dark Knight Picture

April 11, 2008 at 3:12 pm (Movies, Pictures)

This is a (new to me) snapshot released from The Dark Knight that really allows you to not only get a good look at the Joker, but of Batman. This is a really good picture to me and I hope you find it to some level of enjoyment. I am definitely looking forward to this movie and hope to go see it when it comes out July 18. 2008.
